This monument would have been commemorating the death of a well-loved and socially important person in France at the time

and masks was left to the discretion of the individual employer but at the time many ‘progressive firms’ desiring to obtain a maximum efficiency from their employees and to prevent loss of working hours

which was on par with that of European draftsmen employed in the same office at that time

survives from the second quarter of the twentieth century
