ALLIED WWI ROOLD FLYING HELMET Two small moth nips toA good example of the Roold flying helmet worn by British, French and Belgian aviators in WWI. All cork body, canvas finish with four panels to the crown. An imitation centre band, which has some slight losses on the reverse side. Complete with its canvas brown painted ear protectors. The interior crown lining, multi quilted stitching and its ersatz type sweatband are all intact and in good condition. Complete with its rather crude type of chinstrap.
