竹下さんは、中国や韓国などにルーツを持つ伝統的なやきものの奥ゆかしさに魅力を感じ、しばしば骨董市へ足を運ぶなかで、美術や工芸の図鑑などからインスピレーションを受けることも多く、生み出される器は、中国の唐時代や李氏朝鮮時代の器などからヒントを得ているものが中心となります。

昭和42年　生田和孝氏に師事。
